Joining Forces The Farscape Webmasters Association (FWA)

The purpose of the Association is to share news and information with other Farscape websites, and to collaborate on projects. This gives the campaign access to the power of the Scaper community all over the world and creates unity from the many solitary Farscape sites.

Here's how the Association works:
The core group is comprised of some of the largest and most active Farscape websites, as well as sites dedicated to the Save Farscape campaign. These sites have the charter to reach out to all of the Farscape-related sites to share information and solicit ideas. There are so many talented people eager to help in the campaign; the FWA gives them another opportunity to participate.

The core group of the Webmasters Association is now the oversight committee for new projects going forward in support of the SaveFarscape.com marketing plan and the disposition of new monies contributed to the Farscape: Beyond Hope fund as of Monday, October 21. The fund is charted to pay for national or international projects to increase publicity for the campaign or increase viewership.

The following are projects that have been funded or are in process by the FWA:

Do It Yourself Media - the fan-produced "I am Farscape" commercial which aired in 27 major markets.

Foodscape Cookbook - a fund-raiser to support the Farscape: Beyond Hope fund, and give Scapers another way to intrigue potential new fans through Farscape's alien culture and sense of humor.

Newspaper Ad Co-op - helping Scapers place small newspaper ads about Farscape, information resources and the upcoming new episodes.

Movie Ad Co-op - movie patrons are captive in those moments before the movie trailers start. This program helps Scapers fund advertising slides for selected movies to inform those bored audiences.

Internet Banners - increase advertising impressions by posting our Farscape message to related media, science, science fiction and genre sites.
